Apple pie with apricot jam – A heavenly autumn treat.
Ingredients
2-3 | apples |
175 g | butter |
150 g | sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 pich | salt |
3 | eggs |
200g | flour |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1 tsp | lemon zest |
1 tsp | Cinnamon |
100 g | Apricot jam |
Preparation

First peel the apples and cut them into wafer-thin slices.

Then stir the soft butter, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest and a pinch of salt. Add the eggs and mix everything together well.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg cream and stir everything into a smooth batter.

Put baking paper in a baking tin and fill it with the dough. Smooth the surface. Spread the apple slices evenly over the pastry.

Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for approx. 30-40 minutes. Check with a skewer to make sure. While the cake is baking, briefly heat the apricot jam in a pan.

As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, brush it carefully with the warm jam.
