Cold Ayran Yogurt Soup for Hot Summer Days
Ingredients
250g | wheat (if present, then Yarma) |
400ml | Ayran |
1L | water |
1 TL | dried mint |
1 Prise | Salt |
Preparation
1
On the evening before, the wheat should be sorted and placed in a small pot. Cover it with water and let it soak overnight.
2
The next day, the wheat can be briefly boiled. About 10 minutes are sufficient. After it's cooked until soft, let the wheat cool down.
3
Next, the yogurt can be mixed with water and a little salt. Afterward, add the cooled wheat to the yogurt and stir well. Now, the soup just needs to be chilled. Upon serving, the Ayran soup can be enhanced with dried mint. Alternatively, the soup can also be garnished with grated cucumbers or cooked chickpeas. Enjoy your meal.
