Beef in a Clay Pot
60 minutes
Ingredients
1 pack | kavurma |
1 pack | grated gouda |
1-2 tsp | pepper paste, mild |
1 tsp | tomato paste |
1 | onion |
1 | pointed pepper |
1-2 | tomatos |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
sth. | salt, pepper, rosemary or thyme |
Preparation
Slice the onion into thin half-moons and fry it with salt and olive oil in a non-stick pan. Dice the bell peppers and tomatoes and add them to the pan. Add the paprika paste and tomato paste to the pan and fry briefly.
Remove the kavurma from the packaging and cut it into large cubes. It will melt down due to the heat of the pan. Add the kavurma cubes to the pan, mix well, and fry. Season with spices to your taste. Add some boiling water and let it cook for about 4-5 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) with top/bottom heat or using the grill function.
Place the kavurma mixture in a baking dish or clay pot, generously sprinkle with cheese, and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Serve it warm with some bread.
