Cold Baklava Slices with Chocolate
Ingredients
1 pack | puff pastry |
1 pack | butter |
3 Glsses | milk |
2 glasses | sugar |
250 g | chopped walnuts |
1 tpsp | cocoa |
sth. | dark chocolate |
Preparation
First, prepare the syrup for the baklava. To do this, combine the milk and sugar in a pot, boil it, let it simmer for 5 minutes, and set it aside to cool
Let the butter melt and cut the puff pastry to fit your baking dish. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with convection.
Grease the baking dish with butter and place the first layer of Yufka dough inside. Brush it with butter again and lay the next layer of dough on top. Repeat this process about 20 times. Now sprinkle the walnuts on top and add some butter. Place another layer of dough over it and repeat these steps about 20 more times.
Cut the baklava into squares or rectangles and bake them in the oven for about 55 minutes (or longer, depending on how your oven works) until golden brown.
Let it cool for 5 minutes and pour the cold milk/sugar syrup over the baked baklava. Allow it to sit for 1 hour, sprinkle with cocoa, and grate it with some dark chocolate on top.
Let it chill well in the refrigerator and serve!
