Künefe Frenchtoast

A creative fusion of French toast and the delicious Turkish dessert kunefe.

Preparation

Pluck the kadayif apart finely.

Cut off the edge of the toast slices and flatten the bread with a rolling pin.

Cut the mozzarella into slices and place one slice on a piece of flattened toast. Roll it up and seal the ends with a fork. Soak the roll in milk and then roll it in the finely chopped kadayif.

In the meantime, prepare the sugar syrup: Boil the sugar and water, leave to simmer on a medium heat for 10 minutes and add a slice of lemon.

Heat the butter in a pan, add the kadayif rolls and fry them on both sides until golden brown.

Serve the Künefe French toast and pour the sugar syrup evenly over it.
