35 g | semolina |
60 g | icing sugar |
250 g | flour |
1 pack | baking powder |
1 pack | vanilla sugar |
450 g | sugar |
600 ml | water |
1 | lemon slice |
Preparation
First, prepare the sugar syrup. For this, combine water and sugar in a pot and stir with a whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the lemon slice. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Do not let it simmer longer! Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool.
For the dough, cream together, butter, vanilla sugar, and powdered sugar. Then add the egg and mix well. Add the semolina and stir. Finally, add the flour and baking powder and knead into a dough.
Now form walnut-sized balls from the dough and flatten them slightly. Then place them on the baking sheet. Press a peeled hazelnut into the center of each cookie and bake in the preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Please keep an eye on the browning starting from the 20th minute.
Then remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool for 1-2 minutes. Next, drizzle the sekerpare with the sugar syrup, ensuring that the pastries are completely coated. Let them rest for about 3-4 hours.
