Vegan Apple Strudel
30 minutes
Ingredients
800 g | apples |
100 g | sugar |
1 tsp | cinnamon |
1 pack | puff pastry |
60 g | chopped almonds |
Preparation
Peel the apples and cut into small cubes. Then mix with a little cinnamon, chopped almonds and raw cane sugar.
Roll out the puff pastry and brush the first sheet with melted butter. Place the second sheet on top and continue the process. After about 4-5 sheets, place the next sheet slightly in the centre so that a longer roll can be formed. We use half of the packet for one roll.
Finally, place the apple filling on one edge and roll up. Optionally, the ends can also be folded in. Brush the roll with a little butter and optionally sprinkle with a little sugar.
Bake at 200°C top/bottom heat for about half an hour or until crispy.
The warm apple strudel can now be served and enjoyed with either vanilla sauce or a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream.
