Upside Down Puff Pastry Snack

Crispy puff pastry with a spicy cream, olives, and the sweetness of tomatoes.
Ingredients
110g | Cream cheese |
80 g | feta cheese |
1 tbsp | hot bell pepper paste |
1-2 tbsp | fresh or dried thyme |
1 handfull | Pitted olives |
1 | Puff pastry roll |
1 | Egg yolk |
2 | large beef tomatoes |
sth | Olive oil and salt |
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

For the filling: Mix the cream cheese, feta cheese, paprika paste and thyme in a bowl to make a smooth dip.

Cut the tomatoes into thick slices. Take a baking tray and spread olive oil and salt on the areas where each tomato will be placed. Place the tomato slices on the baking tray and brush them generously with the cream cheese dip. Cut the olives into slices and spread them over the tomatoes.

Cut the puff pastry roll into equal squares and cover each tomato individually.

Brush the puff pastry with egg yolk and bake the snacks in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until they are golden brown.

Allow to cool slightly before eating and then enjoy.
